Homemade Hot Ranch Fries

Who needs the boardwalk when you can make your favorite beachside snack right at home?!

Our take on Hot Ranch Fries features the OG, Hidden Valley Ranch for creaminess and TRUFF Original Hot Sauce for spice. This unstoppable combination pairs beautifully with fresh or frozen french fries tossed in cajun seasoning.

  1. If you’re using frozen french fries, follow the directions on the packaging.
  2. If you’re using fresh potatoes, slice and portion potatoes into fries and place them in a pot filled with two quarts of water.
  3. Season the water with salt and bring to a boil.
  4. Boil for the fries for eight minutes, drain, and pat the fries dry.
  5. Fill a pot 1/4 full with oil and heat on high heat.
  6. Fry the fries for one minute and set them aside to drain.
  7. Once the fries have been par-fried, place them in the freezer uncovered overnight.
  8. When you’re ready to make the fries, heat oil to 350°F and fry for 3-4 minutes or until crisp.
  9. Remove the fries from the oil, and set aside to drain.
  10. Transfer fries to a large bowl and toss the fries in the cajun seasoning.
  11. In a separate bowl, mix TRUFF Original Hot Sauce and Hidden Valley Original Ranch to recreate our TRUFF x Hidden Valley Spicy Truffle Ranch
  12. Coat the cajun-seasoned fries with this Spicy Truffle Ranch.
  13. Transfer fries to a serving platter and serve with additional Spicy Truffle Ranch for dipping.
