Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and season with salt.
- Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- While the potatoes are cooking, place milk, cream, mayonnaise, and butter in a small saucepan.
- Warm the creamy mixture over medium-low heat, stirring frequently while the butter melts to blend.
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Once the potatoes are tender, drain, and return to the pot.
- Using a potato masher or ricer, mash potatoes until smooth.
- Add the creamy mixture and whisk to combine.
- Season the mashed potatoes to taste with salt and pepper.
